Senior 2 – Worksheet UPDATE & Revision Papers

Dear Senior 2s,

I am hereby attaching the worksheets which we had not yet covered when I posted the Study List as well as the Revision Papers we had used during the Mid-Yearly revision week. During this coming revision week we will focus more on the topics done after the mid-yearly, so do use these papers to revise the topics done before. Should you have particular questions on topics done before we will tackle them too don’t worry 🙂

Here is the Circles Revision Worksheet with ANSWERS. As I told you in class (forgot to tell 2B), I found it pretty challenging to correct your work because your working was either all over the place or written all in one line. It was quite a challenging worksheet, I know, but some of you did not even bother to read the instructions!!

FIND BOTH THE PERIMETER AND AREA FOR EACH SHAPE                                       ROUND YOUR ANSWERS TO 2 D.P.                                                                                             DO NOT DO YOUR WORKING ON THE SHEET ITSELF

Please do have a GOOD LOOK at the answer sheet and notice all the working required (always start with the formula) and how it should be presented (underneath each other, NOT all in one line). Also notice the difference between PERIMETER(outline) and AREA(space inside) and how EACH TIME you need to use one of their formulae you need to ask yourself: AM I GIVEN THE RADIUS OR DIAMETER????

Here is the Decimals Revision Worksheet again with ANSWERS. As I told you in class, after having corrected it, there were some common mistakes so please if you got a particular exercise wrong, do check the answer sheet and try to work it out again. We will practise this topic during revision week for sure

ATTN Senior 1 – Ignore brackets in HW

Dear Senior 1s,

In the Homework which I asked you to try out (even though we didn’t do too many examples in class) DO NOT let the brackets mix you up. Work it out as though there are no brackets like we did in class. The brackets are just there to emphasize that the sign in front of a number belongs to the number. So for example if I have:

2 – (-8) this is the same as 2 – – 8 which becomes 2 + 8 = 10

and

-3 + (-3) this is the same as -3 + – 3 which becomes -3 – 3 = -6

Hope this helps with your HW for Monday on pg 317 No.s 10 to 21 🙂
